Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body.

Physiotherapists use Acupuncture as part of a system of Acupuncture Treatment in Dublin to give you the most relief from your injury or pain.

We can use it alone in the first session then add other treatment modalities such as massage gentle stretching and strengthening to gain the most pain relief in your physiotherapy sessions.

How does it work?

The beliefs around TCM are centered upon qi (Chi). According to TCM, Qi is an energy source that flows throughout our bodies. When there is a disturbance or blockage in the Qi flow, it results in pain or disease.

Qi flows through the body in rivers called meridians. Needles are placed along these meridians in places which are best suited to restore the flow of qi based on the patients symptoms.
