Diarmuid is the Principal Physiotherapist here at ReSync Physiotherapy. He has a wealth of experience in both private practice settings, in UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. In professional sport Diarmuuid was part of the medical team for the New Zealand Tag rugby and the Emirate’s International Rugby 7’s Tournaments.
Diarmuid qualified with a MSc in Physiotherapy in 2009 from RGU Aberdeen, Scotland. After completing 2 years of rotations with NHS Lothian in Edinburgh he progressed to employment in private practice in Ireland and New Zealand. Diarmuid returned from 4 years in New Zealand in 2015, where he gained invaluable experience working in The University Physio and with many sports teams in the area while he also achieved qualifications in both Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (Curtain University, Perth, Australia) and Sports Medicine (University of Auckland).
He has a keen interest in complex sports injuries and has worked with many international competitions and professional teams such as New Zealand Tag Rugby, Tonga Tag Rugby, Scotland Rugby and the Emirates Rugby 7’s tour.
Diarmuid has a keen interest in complex bio-mechanical issues and motor control patterns involving low back pain and lower limb injuries. He adopts the ethos of analysing your symptoms and areas of pain to get to the root cause of your injury through a detailed analysis of your injury history and an in depth holistic assessment of the musculoskeletal system thus providing relief to even the most complex pain patterns.
