Why Mens strength classes with Resync Physio?

At Resync Physiotherapy, we understand that men have a practical perspective when it comes to their health. Being able to work, engage in sports, and spend quality time with their families is often seen as a measure of good health. That's why we offer Men's Strength Classes, designed to enhance cardiovascular fitness, facilitate weight loss, and increase muscle strength with a performance-focused approach.

Our Men's Strength Classes are led by experienced male physiotherapists who are passionate about strength training and high-performance workouts. They will guide you through a program tailored to your specific strength and fitness goals, whether you're an elite athlete or just starting your training journey.

These classes focus on several key areas, including:

  1. Strengthening and Toning Abdominal Muscles: Through targeted core exercises, we help you develop a strong and toned core, providing stability and support for your entire body.
  2. Mobilizing and Loosening the Back and Spine: As many of us spend prolonged periods sitting, our back and spine can become stiff and tight. Our classes incorporate exercises to improve mobility and release tension in these areas.
  3. Stretching and Loosening the Neck, Shoulders, and Upper Back: In today's sedentary lifestyle, these areas often experience tightness. We include stretches to relieve tension and improve flexibility.
  4. Stretching Tight Lower Body Muscles: Our classes address tightness in the hamstrings, calves, hip flexors, and other lower body muscles through targeted stretching exercises.

Our Men's Strength Classes cater to individuals of all abilities, including:

  • Those who have never stopped weight training.
  • Those who have taken a break and want to get back into strength training.
  • Those who are new to strength training and want to start building their strength.

Remember, it's never too late to start working towards your fitness goals. Age is not a limitation when it comes to achieving your dream body or sculpting a summer six-pack.

These classes focus on:

Strengthening Large Muscle Groups

Mobilizing your Back and Spine

Core Strength and Endurance

Hip Mobility and Flexibility

Classes are suited to all abilities

How do I join the Classes

We recommend signing up for a free taster class first to see if you enjoy this type of training. From there you can have a chat with our physiotherapists and instructors to discuss your goals for the class.

Once you have completed the taster class then you can purchase a pack of 12 classes to us over a 6 month period.

Male Strength Classes

Flexible training Times

Each session at Resync is restricted to a small-group training size (maximum 6) so that the physiotherapist can speak with each of the participants individually.

In order to address your individual needs, classes include a combination of strength, core, cardiovascular, bone-loading, balance, and flexibility exercises.

We also think it's important to educate you throughout the sessions so you can better understand how exercise can enhance your health.

For best outcomes, we advise participants to come twice a week.

However, if you are unable to do this, once a week will also do.

Having 6 weeks of Physio was great with ReSync, who got me from nearly cancelling a hiking trip in the Pyrenees to getting on the place for a memorable holiday break. Many thanks to Connor & Co.

Took a fall on rocks on the mountain bike about 6 weeks out from a 7-day mountain bike stage race. My Knee continued to get worse, and the rest didn't seem to get. I got in touch with Conor at ReSync. He identified the issue quickly, targeting strength and mobility exercises and critical rehab techniques such as dry needling.

As a runner, I have had my fair share of trips to the Physio and often wondered if the issue would have healed itself if I just left it. Well, all that has changed since meeting with Conor at ReSync. The problems with my left leg resulted from overcompensation on my right after an earlier injury.

The strength classes at Resync are simply great – I couldn’t recommend them enough!

I like that each session is meticulously planned to address specific areas at the right intensity and run by experienced physios and strength & conditioning coaches.

Diarmuid, Lee, and Sean who run the female strength classes are excellent, challenging & pushing everyone towards their individual goals – no matter what age, fitness level or past injuries. Some days the intensity is 6-7/10, some days you are pushed to 10 🙂 As classes are small, everyone gets the attention & guidance needed.

I also attended Pilates which nicely complements the strength classes. It's convenient that once signed up for membership, any class from the timetable can be booked, rescheduled, or cancelled via a self-managed mobile app.

FAQ's

Yes, but a thorough evaluation will need to take place during a private physiotherapy consultation.

Any member of the physio team is more than qualified to evaluate your condition, however it can be arranged so that the physio who teaches your regular class also conducts the exam.
In a one-on-one meeting, we will be able to offer you personalized pain information, management, and workout program adaptations.

Depending on your health, you can benefit from a temporary suspension of your regular workout regimen in favor of physiotherapy for hands-on treatment.

Individual sessions might be reduced as your body heals to help you return to your regular routine.
